My research interests include Slavic prosody and the phonology/morphology interface; historical Slavic linguistics and accentology; and sociolinguistics, with a focus on questions of language and identity in the former Yugoslavia. I have authored/co-authored three books and a number of book chapters and articles in journals such as Balkanistica, Die Welt der Slaven, Filologija, Hrvatski dijalektološki zbornik, International Politics, Journal of Slavic Linguistics and Language Policy
