Calculator Policy: The TI-30XS Multiview is the only calculator allowed for this course. You will not be able to use any other calculator.

Exam 3: Wednesday, March 28

Exam 4: Friday, April 20

Cumulative Final Exam: Thursday, May 3, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. (mass exam, location TBD)

Individual meetings are also available by appointment, with at least 24 hours' notice.

Week 1: Friday, January 5

  • course introduction and Section 2.1 (Rates of Change)

Week 2: Monday, January 8 - Friday, January 12

  • Monday, January 8: class cancelled due to inclement weather 
  • Wednesday, January 10: Section 2.2 (Limits/Limit Laws), take-home precalculus review quiz (due Friday), drop-add ends, start working on WeBWorK
  • Friday, January 12: Section 2.4 (One-Sided Limits)

Week 3: Monday, January 15 - Friday, January 19

  • Monday, January 15: Holiday - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Wednesday, January 17: snow day
  • Friday, January 19: Section 2.5 (Continuity) and Section 2.6 (Limits Involving Infinity/Asymptotes), WeBWorK Due (Intro thru 2.4) ***snow day catch up videos link

Week 4: Monday, January 22 - Friday, January 26

  • Monday, January 22 - Sections 3.1/3.2 (The Derivative at a Point/Tangent Lines and the Derivative), Written HW due PLUS the one originally due 19th from 2.1-2.4, WeBWorK due (2.5, 2.6, Asymptotes), Quiz 2 - 2.1, 2.2, 2.4
  • Wednesday, January 24 - Section 3.3 (Differentiation Rules), Written HW (not collected), Quiz 3 on 2.5, 2.6, 3.1, 3.2, WeBWorK due (Ch2 Rev, 3.1, 3.2), brief exam review
  • Friday, January 26: Exam 1 on Sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 3.1, and 3.2, Practice Exam (The real questions will be different, but this will give you an idea of the format, etc.)
